ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join the global team and help shape the legal foundation of our expanding group. This is a unique opportunity to work across group-level legal matters while supporting local operations with pragmatic, commercially driven legal advice. You will collaborate closely with the Global Executive Team and cross-functional leaders, and will also work alongside external counsel and our established business teams in the UK, USA, South Africa and Europe.
You’ll play a key role in helping us navigate the legal landscape as we scale. We’re looking for someone with excellent judgment, strong communication and drafting skills, and the ability to manage a broad range of legal matters with autonomy and confidence. We need someone with entrepreneurial drive, determination and commitment who is prepared to “roll up their sleeves” and work on anything from the drafting of a basic contract - to advising on a complex financing or cross-border transaction.
WHY JOIN US?

- Influence legal strategy at group level in a newly created role with room to grow.
- Competitive package with flexible working and future opportunities to scale with the business.
About the Role:
- Identify, assess and mitigate legal risks to ensure that the group complies with laws, regulations and industry standards.
- Lead and manage the review, drafting, and negotiation of a wide range of commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, customer frameworks, Saas contracts, NDAs, and other operational agreements.
- Provide timely, pragmatic and trustworthy legal advice to stakeholders across the Group and within specific markets (primarily UK and South Africa).
- Develop, implement, and maintain fit-for-purpose corporate governance structures and policies, aligned with the needs of a growing international group.
- Assist with litigation strategy and the management of dispute resolution.
- Manage company secretarial duties for UK entities and assist with board governance, fiduciary duties, filings, and regulatory requirements for all Group companies.
- Coordinate external counsel engagement and manage delivery on specific projects, ensuring relevant advice, efficiency and value.
- Assist with compliance and internal policy development, including data protection, cybersecurity and regulatory issues.
- Build internal awareness of legal matters, delivering training and tools to improve legal literacy and reduce risk.
